The Nunawading Lions Club, as part of their Centennial year, and with additional support from Patterson Cheney Holden have generously sponsored a new vehicle for our Outreach Dental Program – Little Smiles.
The sponsorship will allow our dental professionals to conduct dental checks for children in primary schools, kindergartens and early childhood educator centres across the City of Whitehorse. Little Smiles has been running since 2015 targeting children aged 0-5 years and this year expanded to include children in primary school years prep and grade 1.
The Little Smiles program has provided mobile dental services to approximately 4,500 children across 300 visits since inception. Demand is growing and the availability of a dedicated vehicle will enable full capacity of the program to be attained. This is significant support from a local community organisation and we continue to work with them in relation to other opportunities across our programs.
Yesterday Carrington Health hosted a Thank You morning tea with Nunawading Lions Club members and a representative from Patterson Cheney as the guests of honour.
