Baby Makes 3
Mum, dad and baby attend a two hour evening session, once a week for three weeks. The program is led by a male and female facilitator, providing mum’s and dad’s with the opportunity to share their experiences and hear from others who are at a similar stage. For many Dads, this is the first time they get to meet with other first time parents in a group setting.
Baby Makes 3 is delivered as part of the new parents groups run by maternal and child health services. Experience has shown that this is a great way to engage new parents in a relaxing and informal setting. The Baby makes 3 program covers the following topics:
- The transition to parenthood
- Expectations of Parents and Carers
- Who does what? The role of gender in parenting
- Healthy relationships
- Meaningful equality
- Sex and intimacy
- Dealing with conflict
What our participants have said…..

“Well worth it. It helped us talk about topics we were making assumptions about.”
“Wow, this program is very, very helpful. A must attend for all new parents.”
