Exercise Physiology


Exercise Physiologists use exercise as a treatment to improve health and wellbeing and specialise in developing personalised exercise programs to prevent and manage chronic conditions or injury.
The Exercise Physiologist will assess your needs and requirements and develop a program in line with your current management or treatment plans from other health professionals, to assist you with reaching your goals.

How do I book an appointment?

Our exercise physiology service is for everyone. To make further enquiries about our services, please contact one of our friendly receptionists 9890 2220, between 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

How much will it cost?

You may be eligible for a government subsidy if you qualify for any of the following:

  • Health care card or Pensioner Card
  • My Aged Care
  • Chronic Disease Management Plan
  • NDIS

Exercise Physiology Fees

  • Initial Consultation $80
  • Follow Up Consultation $65

This is a private billing clinic and payments for consultations are required on the day of the consultation. Private health insurance rebates and easy to claim on the spot payment options available including Chronic Disease Management Plans.

Do I need a Dr’s referral?

A GP referral is not required to see the Exercise Physiologist, though, to attend the Wellness Gym we request a Medical Clearance from a GP to ensure safety. However, if you discuss your requirements with your GP, you may be offered a Chronic Disease Management Plan which will entitle you to a subsidy.

Will I get a rebate for my private health insurance?

If you have extras cover on your private health insurance, we offer easy to claim on the spot rebates. You are advised to contact your private health insurer prior to appointment to discuss your level of coverage.

Do you see WorkCover patients?

Yes, you will require an approved WorkCover Claim Number for us to bill WorkCover directly. Please bring this with you to your first appointment.

What if English isn’t my first language?

We have clinicians that speak a range of languages, including Mandarin and Cantonese. Simply enquire if one of these clinicians are available when you make your appointment. If not, we are able to arrange an interpreter for you.
